Lingerie Bowl at Home

By James Newton Most guys are a little forgetful when it comes to romance. Let’s face it, the male idea of fore-play is watching the Dallas Texas Cheerleaders, and drinking a beer. The only lingerie they think about is the Lingerie Bowl (yes, ladies, more football). That does not mean men aren’t romantic. We have romance in our hearts, just most of us are a little unsure of how to go about using it. A typical play to get the lady in the mood for some hibbidy dibbidy will usually go something like this; light some candles, hand you some flowers, gaze into your eyes, give you a compliment, then have sex. When we wake up, we congratulate ourselves on being such a romantic fellow, and turn on the sci-fi channel to watch a cartoon woman- cyber sex robot- with great pair of knockers bouncing around the screen. Many ladies are happy to receive that much. Guys, that play may get you to the mat, but, it’s a basic play in the playbook. Would you like to give your lady a razzle dazzle play that will have her bragging to her friends about how sweet and romantic you are? In fact, she is likely to talk about this for years to come. It’s the main event in the ring, guys. A true professional play. Well, get out your pen and paper guys, I am going to draw this play out for you on a step-by-step process that is certain to swoon any gal. Step One, Preparation: Call your loved ones mother or sister or best friend and tell them you are planning something special and you need to know the following. What size dress does your significant other wear? Is that considered a small, med, or large? Does she like chocolate covered cherries? Does she like grapes? Strawberries? If you already know this information, BRAVO! You just scored major points. If you do this a week or two ahead of time, you can save a few bucks by doing some of your shopping on-line. Find a window of opportunity. Planning is the key. You need to plan this day, on a day when you will be home several hours ahead of your mate. If that is not possible, send her away to see her Mom or Sister or best friend for at least 4-5 hours but, make sure you have an exact time she will be home. This is crutial! Timing is everything! Make sure the house is clean, and the kids are out of the way for the night. Step two, Go Shopping: I know, I know, you’d rather go to the dentist. Relationships are about sacrifice. If you planned ahead, you may already have most of these items and saved yourself a few bucks and some time. You will need the following: 1.) Lingerie- Your choice in lingerie is important. Or you can just ask the sales person for something romantic, that a woman would feel sexy in. You must make her feel beautiful and sexy for this to work. I highly recommend you read the afore mentioned article. And a blind fold. Also, if you really want to go all out… I suggest a costume for yourself. You can even have a little fun and pick out something humorous if you like. 2) The sex gift- Some Lingerie shops carry this stuff, some don’t a good on-line source for this stuff can be found at the source of this article. Thats also a great source for lingerie. I suggest some message oil, preferably flavored, or some body paints also flavored. 3) Rose Petals and Flowers- Make sure you pick up plenty of Rose Pedals. This stuff is amazing and can really impress your gal. You can find it on-line at the source of this article. If you can not find this stuff, pick up some regular bubble bath. Candles- You already know you need them. Pick some up at the Lingerie shop, or the florist, or wherever you get the bath stuff. You will need many! 5) Food- If you know how to cook, excellent. You just scored major points! Just pick up what you need to cook the meal. Save the final steps of this meal for last. You are going to be very busy before you get to eat, but don’t worry, you will have worked up a huge appetite. If you do not know how to cook, or you don’t want to spend the time preparing a meal, thats ok. Stop by her favorite restaurant and pick something up. Remember, we are getting her favorites here, so no bbq wings, unless that’s her favorite. Don’t forget the champagne or wine. Remember the questions we asked earlier? About grapes, strawberries, or chocolate covered cherries? Pick up her favorite. Shopping is Done. Step three, The Notes: You have to let her know what’s going on, and you have to set the mood here. You can write your own notes or feel free to use these; Good Evening my Lady, Tonight is all about you. If you follow my instructions you are in for a night of romance like you have never experienced before in your life. Why? Because my love for you is deep, and my passion for you grows each and every day. Because we spend too much time in our day to day life, and not enough time on us. Allow me to express my love for you, follow my instructions to the letter.” “Please leave the music playing, leave the lights off, and follow the rose pedals to the next note. Now write the 2nd note: At this point my love, I ask you to remove some clothing- don’t worry, tonight is just the two of and I am not allowed to see you as of yet. Our passion together will be forever remembered. Please follow the rose pedals to the next note. Now write the 3rd note: “Are you ready my love? Tonight I plan to express my love in a way that words would never do.” “Are you ready my love? Tonight our passion will reach heights we have only dreamed of.” “Are you ready my love? Please remove the remainder of your clothing and follow the rose pedals into the bathroom. And read the last note. Now write the 4th and final note: Your bath is drawn, I will be in to serve you momentarily. Please put on the blind fold and slide into the bath. Make yourself comfortable and just relax. Notes Done. Step four, the set-up: 30 to 40 minutes before she is due to arrive. You have to put everything into place. Put the first note somewhere close to where she will enter the house and find it quickly. Spread some of the rose pedals out into a trail leading about one third of the way to the bathroom and place the 2nd note. Lay out more rose pedals to about two thirds of the way to the master bath and place the third note. And another trail of rose pedals leading to the final note in the bath. Set a large candle at each note. Do not light yet. Spread some rose pedals out on the bed. Place several candles around bedroom. Set the love toys of choice out on the bed. Place the blindfold and the lingerie in the bathroom. I suggest placing the blind fold on the last note. And hanging the lingerie on the back of the bathroom door. Set several candles about the bathroom as close to the tub as possible without catching any towels on fire. Do not light yet. Pick out some soft romantic music. Your choice. I can suggest Barry White, Luther Vandross, or something along that line. Turn it on. Hopefully you have a CD player and can set it up to loop two or three CD’s You don’t want the music to stop in the middle of this if you can help it. Ensure that meal is going to stay hot, or is at the point where it can be heated or finished in 5 minutes or less. If you elected to go with a costume of your own, put it on. 10 minutes before her arrival, (you may want to verify this if possible, call her on cell phone, or find out from wherever she was) light the candles to get the aroma in the air. Start the tub. If you are using the suggested glow in the dark bubble bath, leave the lights on until she pulls in the drive. Make sure you run the water on the VERY hot side so that it will be at a nice temperature when she climbs in. Arrange the snacks ( Strawberries, grapes, or what ever you chose) onto a platter with two glasses of the wine or champagne. Do NOT arrange them into the shape of a football. When she pulls into the driveway. Take platter and get out of site (don’t spill the drinks). Turn off lights on the way including bathroom light (one light at entrance is allowed to be on). Hide in a closet, a spare room, or something. Do not answer her if she calls for you. Step Five, Action: When she has had a chance to get into the tub and settle in, it is time for you to put the play into action. Walk in with the tray and say something like Madam, I have a snack and a drink for you. give her the drink, and HAND feed her the snack of choice. Offer to wash her back, use an oversized sponge, wash her back and allow yourself to rome freely washing the rest of her body. Make sure you mention how sexy she is. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT engage in sex at this time! Build the atmosphere up. No matter how hot she gets, or you get, do not start sex yet !!!! We don’t want to settle for a field goal, we want the game winning touch down. You may use your mouth, and hands to tease her as much as you want. Keep feeding her the snacks and allowing her to drink. She may want to remove the blindfold, thats ok, best if she keeps it on at this point if possible. Before the water turns cold, and before you get to the point where you can no longer resist her. Stand up and say something like: You may now dry off ( hopefully you made sure there were clean, dry towels in the bathroom), and please put on the outfit that is hanging on the door, and join me in the bedroom. This is about her, but you still have control. Go to the bedroom, and wait for her beside the bed. Do not get in the bed yet. You want her to see your costume. (she will love the fact that you got dressed for her too). When she enters the room, be sure to make a big deal about how sexy and beautiful she looks!! Now wave your hand out to display what you have displayed out on the bed. Step six, give up control: At this point all you have to do is remain quiet, and let her take control. I am going to assume you know how to go about the rest of this step. I’m not making a porno book here. Step Seven, the coupe de gras: This is perhaps the most important step. It is known as post play or after play. This is the step that wins her love and loyalty. By now, you will both have an appetite worked up. Put your outfits back on, with or without robes. Take her by the hand, lead her to the dining room, light the table candles, serve her dinner, and TALK to her. Don’t just talk to her, listen to her. Talk about her, and her needs. Put all your problems aside. Just talk to one another. Drink coffee and stay awake and alert. Spend many hours here. (Note: My girlfriend loves this part!) Making The Right Shampoo Choice For Healthy Hair

By Michael Douglas A good shampoo should cleanse the hair and scalp by removing accumulated sebum, skin debris, dirt and residues of hair-grooming preparations. It should leave the hair soft, shiny and easy to comb and style. A shampoo should also give ‘body’ to the hair, prevent ‘flyaway’ hair and help to improve damaged hair. Most shampoos both cleanse and lather well but is there a connection between the two? In general, some people tend to wash their hair at least once every two days and in some cases everyday. Others, on the other hand, tend to wash their between three to six times in a month. The cleansing of the hair does not have to be as frequent as one might suppose if the hair is kept well brushed and combed. Shampoos are available in a variety of forms and types including liquids, lotions, pates, gels, aerosols, and dry products. Shampoos are further differentiated by their specialized uses such as for particular hair or scalp conditions, age, sex, fragrance tints and colour. Everyday shampoos are formulated to be used everyday without leaving the hair too dry. The frequency of shampooing is dictated by the condition of the scalp, a person’s lifestyle, occupation and the area in which he/she lives. There are no maximum or minimum values for the frequency of hair wash required for individual hair. Only a trained hair expert can offer correct assessment of the number of times hair wash is required by a person. The following may be used as general advice for different hair types: Coarse, curly hair Curly hair is almost always dry hair as the oils produced in the scalp don’t travel as easily down the hair shaft as they do with straight hair. Creamy, moisturizing shampoos work best for this hair texture. Choose wheat germ oil, shea butter and nut oils in your shampoos. Fine, oily, or limp hair is most susceptible to looking ‘oily’ and can get this way after only one day. Use a gentle shampoo for daily or frequent washing. Processed hair Adding moisture is key for colored, permed and relaxed hair. Wash hair every other day with a shampoo made for normal hair. Concentrate on cleaning the scalp. Then use a stron conditioner only on the midshaft to ends of hair. Dry, damaged hair Use shampoo that is smooth, detangle, and diffuse static. Always remember 1) People with oily scalps should shampoo daily. Everybody should shampoo every two-three days. Make sure you cleanse the scalp and hair and try to shampoo after working up a sweat from exercise etc. 2) Seek a trichologist’s advice as to which shampoo you should be using. 3) Dry hair but oily scalp indicates that hair is damaged or you suffer from zinc deficiency. 4) Dry scalp and dry hair indicate nutritional or hormonal imbalances. For example, a dry skin and hair may be associated with an underactive thyroid gland. 5) Use soft water for shampooing and hard water for drinking. 6) The moisture in hair is determined by humidity in the atmosphere. No More Fad Diets or Quick Fixes

By Nicole Bandes I have put off writing this article for a long time. I didnt want to sound like just another person trying to monopolize on the huge weight loss industry with another fad diet or quick fix. But I believe that fad diets dont work and quick fixes dont last. So what is one to do at this time of year when people begin to realize how much they have gained during the holidays and that its time to get back to losing. How is one supposed to go about doing that? Most people understand the basic concept of calories in must not be more than calories burned in order to lose weight so I wont spend time on this concept. However, if you work hard to eat right and work out but still dont seem to lose weight, there may be an underlying problem. Americans struggle with weight loss is no different than our increasing struggles with other diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and even cancer. For each problem, there is a root cause. If you can get to the root cause, the problem goes away by itself. This, unfortunately, is a perspective that is often missed by medical doctors. So what are some of the root causes of weight gain? There are six primary causes which effect how much difficulty you experience when trying to lose weight. 1. Diabesity. While you may be eating fewer calories than you burn, if those calories primarily consist of simple carbohydrates (sugar, white flour and rice, potato chips, soda, etc) then this will cause an increase in insulin levels. This overproduction of insulin drives the simple carbohydrates into storage as fat. High levels of insulin suppress glucagons, a hormone that pulls sugar out of storage to keep blood sugar stable. This causes a drop in blood sugar that leads to cravings for more sugar and carbohydrates. Eventually this can lead to insulin resistances and diabetes but in the short term it contributes to weight gain. Possible indicators that this is a problem for you include a waist measurement (at the navel) larger than hip measurement, daily consumption of simple carbohydrates, sugar cravings, mid afternoon fatigue, experience hypoglycemia or Type II diabetes. Key to successful weight loss: Alter your diet. Cut out all simple carbohydrates. This will be a struggle in the beginning as is the removal of any addictive substance. However, with the knowledge that the cravings will go away in less time than it takes to add 2lbs to your weight, you can get a jumpstart on your weight loss program. Other factors that will be of benefit include supplementing with chromium GTF, a mineral known to be beneficial for the maintenance of normal blood sugar levels, and cleansing can help to flush the system of simple carbohydrates quicker. 2. Estrogen Dominance. Whether you are male or female, excess estrogen increases fat storage in our bodies. In our society, we are bombarded with excess estrogens from meats and dairy products as well as xeno-estrogens (man made) from plastic containers, pesticides and household chemicals (to name a few). Our livers, the primary organ responsible for breaking down excess hormones, are also overtaxed with all the prescription drugs, pollution and alcohol we ingest. Possible indicators that this is a problem for you include prostate problems (men), heavy menstrual bleeding or uterine fibroids (women), regular consumption of commercially raised meats and dairy products, daily consumption of beverages from soft plastic containers (milk, juice, water, etc), enlarged breast area (men), PMS symptoms (women). Key to successful weight loss: Balance your hormones. Eliminate excess estrogens from your life (hormone laden meats and dairy, plastics, and pesticides/household chemicals. Often blamed for the inability to lose weight, metabolism is controlled by the glandular system, particularly the thyroid. When the thyroid and other glands, such as the pituitary are poorly functioning the body will not burn off extra fat even when you have restricted your calorie intake. Possible indicators that this is a problem for you include cold hands and feet and feeling cold when others are warm, fatigue or low energy levels, dry skin, depression or lack of sexual desire, diagnosis of low thyroid. Key to successful weight loss: Exercise and glandular support. Exercise is one of the best ways to give your metabolism a jump start. Include weight training for longer metabolism boosts than cardio alone. Get sufficient levels of iodine from sources such as black walnut, dulse, kelp or other sources of seaweed. 4. Stress. We all know how taxing stress can be on our bodies. Limiting our ability to lose weight is just another way. Stress produces a hormone called cortisol that may contribute to loss of muscle mass and the development of abdominal fat. Possible indicators that this is a problem for you include feeling like you are under excessive levels of stress, muscle tension, anxiety or nervousness, high blood pressure, weight primarily in the stomach area, and restless sleep patterns. Support your adrenal glands, responsible for producing excess cortisol. 5. Toxicity. Without them, our bodies would be subjected to greater negative effects from these poisons. Possible indicators include problems (past or present) with high cholesterol (over 275) or cravings for high fat foods, skin problems such as acne, rashes, eczema, etc, working in or around chemicals such as dry cleaners, beauty parlors, laboratories, hospitals, lawn services, etc, and difficulty falling asleep or sluggishness in the morning. Key to successful weight loss: Cleansing to remove toxins from the body and limiting exposure to new toxins. While cleansing, include plenty of fiber to absorb toxins as they are being released from the fat cells and herbs to cleanse and support the liver and lymphatic system so they do not become burdened in the process of cleansing. 6. Emotional Concerns. Your mental attitude may contribute as much as or more to your weight loss struggle as potential health concerns. If you are holding on to your weight for some reason, no matter what you do will show no long lasting benefits. If you see yourself as fat, ugly, unattractive, etc your body may respond by storing things as protection against the outside world. Possible indicators include problems with self image, constant worry about weight, eating when you arent hungry, cravings for comfort foods, eating due to depression. Key to successful weight loss: Seek out counseling with someone experienced in helping you let go of old feelings and mind sets. Learn to think about not losing weight, but gaining health. If you cant release your emotional baggage, you will always struggle to lose your physical baggage. Healthy weight management requires a lifetime commitment that is taken one day at a time. Decide for yourself that today is going to be a good day and do not worry about tomorrow. At the end of the day, celebrate your successes in a healthy way, even if they were small and seemingly unimportant. There are no quick fixes and fad diets are just that, a passing fad. Eating Out in Italy - A Beginner’s Guide

By Gillian Dearnley If you go for a meal in a restaurant with Italian friends you will probably find this to be a long drawn-out affair! You do not have to order every course, but you will find that Italians take their food and drink very seriously. For a quicker meal a pizzeria or trattoria would probably fit the bill. Restaurant menus will normally be divided up as follows and each region will have its own specialities. Oh, and youll be expected to retain your knife and fork between courses this is the Italian way! Antipasti These are what we would call hors d’oeuvres or starters, and are likely to include crostini (small toasted slices of bread) with various toppings. Antipasto misto would be a selection of meats, raw vegetables etc. Prosciutto crudo (uncooked ham) is also often served with melon or fresh figs (fichi). Primi Piatti These are the first courses, probably pasta, soup or rice dishes. There is such a large range of pasta available in supermarkets outside of Italy that it hardly seems necessary any longer to explain what they all are! The word “pasta” actually means dough or pastry (the same word is used for sweet pastries in a cake shop). The type used for each dish depends on the heaviness of the sauce and whether the pasta is to be stuffed or not. The finer types of pasta (e.g. semini and vermicelli) are likely to be found floating in soups. Where the pasta is to be boiled and served with a thin sauce you will find spaghetti or tagliatelle (ribbon-shaped strands) etc. and with a more robust sauce fusilli (twists), penne (small tubes) or farfalle (bows). For a meat, spinach and ricotta (light white sweet whey cheese) or cream stuffing, ravioli (pouches) or canneloni (large tubes) will be used. If you are unfamiliar with the range of pasta sauces, you may find the following helpful: al pomodoro (with a tomato sauce), al ragu (with a minced meat sauce), in bianco (served plain with just butter and a sprinkling of parmesan cheese), al forno (baked in the oven e.g. lasagne al forno, which has a minced meat and tomato sauce with a white bechamel sauce topping), ai funghi (with a mushroom sauce), alla carbonara (usually spaghetti served with bacon or pork, egg yolk and sometimes parmesan cheese.) Secondi Piatti These are the second courses, usually meat, poultry or fish dishes. They will be served in various styles and again with various sauces. Bistecca (steak), cotoletta (cutlet), pollo (chicken), agnello (lamb), maiale (pork), manzo (beef), vitello (veal), trota (trout), tonno (tuna) may feature here in various guises: alla griglia (grilled). alla brace (grilled, maybe over an open fire), arrosto (roasted), bollito (boiled), fritto (fried), al vino bianco / rosso (cooked in white / red wine), allolio (cooked in oil), al burro (cooked in butter), alla milanese (dipped in egg and breadcrumbs then fried), allarrabbiata (served with a hot tomato and chilli sauce.) Contorni These are vegetables or salad, often served and eaten separately from the other courses. Insalata (salad), insalata verde (green salad), insalata mista (mixed salad), patate fritte (fried potatoes), faioli (beans), spinaci (spinach), zucchini (courgettes), pomodori (tomatoes), piselli (peas), melanzana (aubergine.) Dolce There is not usually an enormous range of desserts, pies and puddings on a restaurant menu. Italians tend to finish their meal with fresh fruit (frutta), cheese (formaggio) or icecream (gelato). You may see a few more regional dishes though if you are lucky. Frutta della stagione (fruit in season), torta della casa (a cake which is a speciality of that restaurant), macedoine (fruit salad), zabaglione (egg yolks, marsala and sugar whipped together to make a creamy confection), Parmigiano Parmesan cheese (a hard and very strong-flavoured cheese), Pecorino (another hard cheese but made from sheeps milk.) By Michael Russell Adopting a child domestically is a hard task in itself, but when somebody decides to adopt a child internationally it becomes even harder. Adopting a child internationally is a long process, it can drain you emotionally and it can be very expensive. It becomes a lot less difficult and stressful if you find a great adoption agency who will guide you every step of the way. The best thing to do during the adoption process is to keep be very patient a keep a level head. Before you dive into an international adoption, you must be emotionally prepared and financially prepared. Adopting a child internationally can be paperwork intense and the processing can take anywhere from six months to several years. It is a good idea to get in touch with somebody who has completed an adoption; this can include friends or colleagues. You should ask him or her a lot of questions about the whole adoption process. Ask them about their adoption agency choice and ask them why they chose the agency that they did and also ask them about the pros and cons of the agency that they went to. Go online and make some comparisons between the adoption agencies that you want to use and then narrow your list down to a few and then call them. Another thing to do is to compare the countries of the children that you want to adopt, most agencies have charts on their website that list available children, by country, gender, age, living situation (foster care, orphanage), the waiting period, parent requirements, travel requirements and adoption fees. After you review all of this, the next thing to do is to apply to the country of your choice. The next thing to do is to prepare for the home evaluation study which is one of the most important steps in any adoption, regardless of whether it is domestic or international. The home study generally consists of three parts, multiple visits from a social worker, gathering of paperwork and attending adoption classes. Consider the age, health and gender of the child that you would like to adopt. Make your preferences clear to the adoption agency. Choose a child from agency photos or videos. Have a pediatrician review the health status of the child before finalization. When the adoption process is complete and the child goes into your custody, you must travel to the child’s home country to pick him or her up. When you go, take somebody that you trust, for safety reasons and peace of mind. The international adoption process is much longer and much more costly then a traditional domestic adoption, if you’re not prepared to go through what is involved with adopting a child internationally then it is best not to get involved. Does Hoodia Work for Weight Loss, or Just Empty Your Pockets?

By Mike Geary I bet you want to know… Does Hoodia really work to help you lose weight? After all, billions of dollars are being spent worldwide annually on this supposed “miracle” diet pill that, if you were to believe the hype spouted off by all of its manufacturers, you would think that hoodia is the miracle cure to obesity and excess weight that will save the world. Ahh, if it were only that easy to lose weight! So… Does Hoodia actually work for lasting weight loss, or even have any effects whatsoever? Let’s dig a little deeper beyond all of the marketing hype and see if hoodia actually has any merit. The fact is that you can’t search the internet or listen to the radio without being bombarded by Hoodia advertisements promising all sorts of miraculous claims. The reason I wanted to bring up the subject of Hoodia and it’s validity is that I don’t want any of my readers to waste their money and fall for this scam. Now let me preface this by saying that not all companies selling hoodia are crooked. Some are legitimate and honest and actually selling real Hoodia. However, with the lack of federal regulation on supplements, it is quite easy for shady smaller companies to get away with selling pills that don’t even have any hoodia at all in them. Also, we are not even saying anything regarding whether Hoodia (if it were the real stuff) actually does work or not for lasting weight loss. Sure, the Hoodia ads sound great… no exercise necessary, just sit on your couch, pop a couple hoodia diet pills, and you’ll start melting fat off your bones like a furnace… Please, give me a frickin break! Let’s get this straight… Quick fixes NEVER work, and they NEVER will work in the future. Even if a miracle weight loss pill is developed in the future, there will always be an adverse side effect… it’s simply against the laws of nature, and homeostasis of the body. I can’t even tell you how many people I get writing me and they’re totally sold on this Hoodia stuff by the slick advertising and hype. They buy it and they get no weight loss results whatsoever. Well, there was a good $50 or $100 down the drain! I can’t blame them for being suckered… I mean these scammers are pretty good marketers. You’ll see in a minute that a large percentage of what is labeled and sold as hoodia may not even contain ANY Hoodia at all. A lot of it is completely counterfeit. At first glance, it might appear that this supposed “magical herb” has some promise. All of the hype started a couple years ago when a popular night-time network TV show presented Hoodia as a new and potentially exciting weight-loss pill. Well, it didn’t take long for the internet and late night advertising scamsters to follow suit, fill some capsules with any old crap they could find, and start spamming bazillions of people around the world saying that their pills were the magical answer to the dream body they’ve been looking for their entire life. Hoodia has been used by the Bushmen of Southern Africa for centuries as an appetite suppressant for their journeys. The fact is that hoodia in its natural state might actually work as a decent appetite suppressant (although that doesn’t necessarily mean it will help with permanent weight loss). The problem lies in the fact that the supplement industry is not federally regulated in the US, and any scammer can put whatever they want in a capsule and sell it for huge profits. The fact is that the quantity of Hoodia being sold throughout the world in supplement stores and online FAR EXCEEDS the amount that is actually produced. Hoodia is only grown in a small area of southern Africa and is a very slow growing plant, and there is a much larger quantity of “supposed hoodia” sold than is produced. Obviously, this means that a large amount of what is sold as hoodia is simply counterfeit. Basically what they put in the pill doesn’t even have to be Hoodia, because ever since the Dietary Supplement and Health Education Act (DSHEA) of 1994, there is no regulation or testing to assure that what their label claims is actually in the bottle. Now even if they did put real Hoodia extract in the capsules, there is also no scientific proof at this point that these small doses that they are using will actually cause any type of weight loss at all in humans. Even if hoodia were to actually help curb appetite, that is not always a good thing, as it may simply deprive your body of the nutrition it needs to function properly and maintain lean muscle mass, all of which regulates your metabolic rate. If you did lose weight, this would not be a good weight loss, as you would lose muscle and end up with a slower metabolism, which would lead to excess fat gain in the future. So you’re left with these major problems: 1. A certain percentage of the Hoodia being sold out there might not even be real Hoodia. You simply could be buying any old junk powder that they fill the capsules with. 2. Even if certain brands are honest (which a lot of the bigger companies ARE honest), and actually put the amount of Hoodia that they claim in the bottle, there is no proof that those quantities are ample enough to curb the appetite (compared to the raw hoodia plant that the bushmen eat), nor is there any evidence that hoodia will result in lasting weight loss. So does Hoodia really work? The answer is that no one really knows for sure, however with all of the uncertainties that we’ve highlighted here, it is highly unlikely that Hoodia will create long lasting permanent weight loss for you, even if you do get lucky enough to get the “real stuff”. As you’ve probably heard me say a thousand times before… the bottom line is that there are no “miracles in a bottle”. If you want to be truly healthy, lean, and strong for life, it takes some actual real exercise and a nutritious diet full of natural unprocessed healthy foods… a healthy diet that you can live with for life! What’s So Special About The Objective Statement?

By Carla Vaughan Well, if you want to make sure a prospective employer reads your resume, the objective statement can be more than special: It can be critical. If you are in the market for a new computer and a salesperson asks you what features you are specifically looking for, you may spout off a few details, such as: 512KB RAM, 160 GB hard drive, flat panel monitor, wireless optical mouse or any of a dozen other desired features. The salesperson is much better equipped to find a computer that matches your description if you provide the right kind of information. The same is true of an objective statement. If you dont use one, an employer might not be able to figure out what type of position you are seeking. Do not assume your resume is clear and to the point. Do not assume your cover letter will be able to convey everything, either. The cover letter might not even get read. Even if it does get read, it could very easily get separated from your resume. If that happens, the employer has no lead-in to your resume and it has to stand alone. It is for this reason that the objective statement becomes critical. Most people are relatively specific about the kind of work they want to do. You probably are, too. That means the employer needs some direction from you. The objective statement tells the employer what you are interested in. A well written objective statement does it in a way that lets the employer know what you can do for them, too.
